Tim holds a Ph.D. in Public Policy and Management, specializing in risk communication, from the Evans School of Public Policy at the University of Washington. He is an expert in mixed-methods analysis (quantitative and qualitative) of customers and stakeholders.   • Surveys and focused interviews with key decision-makers at North American seaports to better understand seismic risk mitigation planning and emergency response.

  • In an under-resourced California county, conducted focus groups in two languages to conduct a gap analysis of training needs for public health workers. Applied gap analysis to create and deploy a survey and report establishing priorities for continuing education and professional training.

  • Created and deployed customer satisfaction/Net Promoter Score-style survey to a multinational firm’s 5,000+ clients across more than 20 countries; coded qualitative long-form responses for further insights into high and low NPS metrics.

  • Analyzed existing survey data from a large nonprofit nanny advocacy organization to highlight important findings and create a policy report for community leaders to increase professionalization and continuing education of nannies.

  • Repeat consultations for survey creation of Black medical professionals to understand the role of Historically Black Colleges and Universities in increasing diversity in that field.
