This is a critical role in demonstrating the value and impact of Dovetail during the sales process. You will focus on developing the “art of the possible”, as well as supporting internal product advocacy, best practices and supporting community events as the Dovetail domain expert in these forums. Working closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales and Customer Success, Product Marketing, and Community, you will be a customer facing solution expert.
Solution Design and Demonstration. Develop tailored solution architectures that leverage the company’s platform to meet customer needs. Deliver engaging product demonstrations, proofs of concept (POCs), and technical presentations. Address technical objections and provide innovative solutions during sales cycles.
Develop One to Many Dovetail Advocacy Programs. Develop and evangelize the “Art of Possible” advocacy into content (video, audio, written), community and internal enablement. This work will be in partnership with success and product marketing.
Event and Community. Be a customer facing domain product expert in how to build world class customer insights hub practices. This will include joining virtual and in-person events (e.g. workshops, IO, events) to increase knowledge, usage and impact of Dovetail for prospective and existing customers, and supporting demand gen, and customer showcase efforts.
Cross-Functional Collaboration. Work closely with product management to provide feedback on customer needs for future enhancements. Partner with implementation teams to ensure smooth transitions from pre-sales to post-sales phases.
Proposal Development. Create comprehensive Statements of Work (SOWs), solution diagrams, and technical documentation. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate pricing, timelines, and deliverables.
Education and previous experience. A bachelor’s degree; advanced degrees or degree in user experience or design are a plus. 3+ years of experience in a pre-sales, sales engineer or solutions architect role within SaaS product environment.
Clear communicator and proactive problem solver. You’ll have excellent communication and presentation skills with an ability to engage audiences and be a storyteller. Bring problem-solving abilities and a consultative approach to addressing client needs.
Technically savvy. You ’ll bring proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and a grasp of APIs, integrations, and data pipeline. Hands-on experience with tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar analytics platforms is desirable.
Self starter and team player. You are self-motivated with the ability to work independently and within a team environment.
As a bonus: You may have a strong understanding of customer insights platform, qualitative feedback, research, customer experience systems, a major plus.

Compensation Range: $140,000-$165,000 base salary. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This role is eligible for incentive compensation, equity and benefits.
