Nested folders beta

You will notice that the Projects page looks slightly different now, but don't worry, your existing folders and projects will still be organized the way you had them before the beta, but you will now have the ability to reorganize them using subfolders.

If you wish to opt-out of the beta, simply let us know and we can revert your folders to their original state by flattening them into single folders. Please note that we are unable to guarantee that your folders and projects will revert exactly how they were before they beta, due to any adjustments that were made to your folder structure during it.

What do I need to do?

You don't need to do anything outside of you would normally do within Dovetail. Each week, you will receive an email from us with suggestions to encourage you to explore the new functionality and discover more ways to benefit from it.

How can I give feedback?

• Please use the Give feedback button at the top right of the Projects page if you have feedback you’d like to share with us at any time during the beta.

• We will also be sending out 2 surveys via email to ask about your experience, one near the beginning and one near the end of the beta program.

To help us best understand and action your feedback, please share with us as much information as you can, including details about what you want to achieve and screenshots where possible.

How can I get urgent help if I have questions or come across issues?

Email us at beta@dovetailapp.com and we will get back to you as soon as we can. Please note that response time may be up to 24 hours due to timezone differences.

How do I opt-out of the beta program if it’s not working for me?

You can opt-out of the beta at anytime by reaching out to us at beta@dovetailapp.com.

Once you have opted out, we will revert your folders to their original state by consolidating them into single folders. Please be aware that we cannot guarantee an exact restoration of your folders and projects to their pre-beta state due to any adjustments made to your folder structure during the beta period.

At the end of the 3 week beta program, we will ask you to confirm if you’d like to continue with nested folders or if you’d to revert to the previous layout and single-level folder structure until nested folders is officially released.
