We are two weeks away from Insight Out, Dovetail’s first global conference for customer-obsessed product people. Our teams in Sydney and San Francisco are working around the clock putting the final touches on what is shaping up to be a game-changing event for anyone who wants to shift their perspectives and learn new and exciting ways to keep the customer at the center of everything that they do.
The mood here at Dovetail is one of excitement and anticipation. We can’t wait to host 500 customers and community members at the historic Fort Mason, and thousands more who will be joining online from around the world. If you’re still on the fence in deciding whether Insight Out is right for you, here are three things that we are looking forward to at the event.
Insight Out is first and foremost a community-focused conference. Instead of hours of sales pitches, we have assembled some of the most recognizable names in product, design, and research. They will tell stories of their own experiences building user-centric products, explore some of the most relevant emerging trends across the industry, and offer tangible tips and tricks that you can bring to your work. Here are just a few of the talks we are looking forward to:
Claire Menke Priestly, Director of Product Management at Meta, will offer strategies that will help PMs better leverage customer insights to drive the alignment that is crucial to successful product delivery.
John Garvie, Senior Design Manager at Uber, will argue against recent specialization trends, and instead present a case that everyone across the product org should be getting more comfortable talking to and learning from customers.
In a much-anticipated panel discussion, VP of Design at Dropbox Alastair Simpson will be joined by UX thought leader and consultant Judd Antin to discuss how companies can seize on new paradigms to ensure they are building features people use.
We won’t be doing drab hotel conference rooms and stale coffee at Insight Out. Instead, Dovetail is excited to welcome our in-person attendees to the beautiful Gateway Pavilion at historic Fort Mason. Right on the waters of the San Francisco Bay, feel inspired by breathtaking views of the Golden Gate Bridge, all while enjoying the beauty that is Northern California in the springtime. We’ve partnered with several local businesses and creators to cultivate a truly San Francisco experience from start to finish.
Insight Out will provide a unique opportunity to network with hundreds of product professionals from companies of all shapes and sizes who are passionate about building game-changing products. Our goal is to strengthen the foundation of our community as we learn about how to solve some of the world’s biggest problems in scaling customer insights across the organization, staying up-to-date on the newest tools and processes for extracting the maximum value from customer research data, and just generally growing our careers together.
But it won’t just be business at Insight Out. If there’s one thing Dovetail loves it’s a good party, and we’ve baked in plenty of opportunities to have fun and enjoy everything the city of San Francisco has to offer.
Since our founding seven years ago, Dovetail has been on a mission to make it easy for anyone to uncover the insights hidden in messy customer data that help teams build products people love. We’ve been working hard to deliver features that magically reduce analysis cycles and make it easier than ever to share insights to drive alignment across teams. And we aren’t done yet!
We are flying out a team of Dovetail product designers and engineers from Down Under, and they are excited to share some of the stuff that they’ve been building. Our CEO and co-founder, Benjamin Humphrey, will be on the main stage sharing these updates, but we have also created several opportunities to chat directly with the teams that are building Dovetail in our product lounge. Check out demos of our newest features, get sneak peeks into what’s coming next, and ask your burning questions to the teams that know our customer insights hub better than anyone.
Even if you’re not attending Insight Out, be sure to keep up to date with the big product announcements coming by following our profile on Product Hunt.
If you’re still deciding whether or not Insight Out is the right event for you, take this as the sign you are looking for and register today! Whether you’re able to snag one of the last in-person tickets or join our growing numbers online, we promise that this event will leave you inspired with new strategies and approaches to customer-centric product development.
