The Co:Z Co-Processing Toolkit is a collection of components for connecting z/OS platforms to other computing environments securely and reliably. The toolkit enables the following solutions:

z/OS Hybrid Batch ![]() |
z/OS Unix Batch Integration ![]() |
z/OS Remote Services ![]() |
---|---|---|---|
Using Co:Z SFTP server, systems with OpenSSH or another SFTP compatible client may transfer files directly to z/OS datasets, controlling all aspects of dataset allocation, formats, and codepage conversion. Using Co:Z SFTP client, z/OS datasets and POSIX files can be transferred, interactively or from a z/OS batch job. |
z/OS Hybrid Batch enables the relocation of traditional z/OS programs to servers running AIX, Linux, or Windows. With the Co:Z Launcher and Co:Z Dataset Pipes components, any z/OS batch job can remotely launch a process on a distributed system, redirecting input and output from the remote process to traditional z/OS datasets or spool files. |
An alternative to the IBM Utility, BPXBATCH, Co:Z Batch simplifies the integration of z/OS Unix command and shell scripts within batch jobs. The Co:Z SFTP client and Co:Z Dataset Pipes commands, and Co:Z z/OS Utilities can easily be integrated with Co:Z Batch. |
z/OS Remote Services enables z/OS services and data to be incorporated into standard workloads running on AIX, Linux, or Windows. With the Co:Z Dataset Pipes component, shell scripts running on AIX, Linux, or Windows can remotely run z/OS commands and access z/OS data. |
