Create an Agent from chat

Now you can create an agent straight from Chat without rewriting prompts or losing context, making it easy to monitor changes over time.

Here’s how it works:

• Single question → single prompt

  If your chat has one question and one response, Dovetail will take your original question and use it as the agent prompt. You can then edit, fine-tune, and set a schedule.

• Full conversation → distilled prompt

  If there’s a longer back-and-forth, Dovetail will generate a clean, purpose-built prompt for your agent. It captures your intent and context so you don’t have to.

This makes it easier to go from a one-off question to an agent that watches your data and reports changes automatically.
