Integrate Dovetail with Productboard

Connecting your Productboard workspace to Dovetail enables you to send Dovetail highlights and insights into Productboard and link them to features.

To connect Dovetail and Productboard:

1. Click your profile photo in the top right of the screen.

2. Click Account.

3. Click Integrations.

4. Click Connect Productboard.

5. Enter your account credentials to log in to Productboard.

6. Click Allow when Productboard requests access.

Please note you need to be on a paid Productboard plan that supports insights to be able to send Dovetail data to Productboard.

To send a highlight to Productboard, you can do so using the tag picker in notes.

1. Create a highlight, or click into a highlight to open the Tag picker.

2. Scroll down and select Send to Productboard.

To know that it worked, a toast will appear with a link to the Productboard note that you've just created. You can now link this to features in your Productboard roadmap and get better visibility into customer impact.

To send multiple highlights to Productboard, you can do so using the multi-select toolbar on a highlight view.

1. Open an insight view associated with your project

2. Select multiple highlights

3. Click the three dots menu on the multi-select toolbar, and select Send to Productboard

To know that it worked, a toast will appear while it is sending the highlights to Productboard. Don’t navigate away before the action has been completed, otherwise only some of your insights will be sent. We’re unable to show rich previews like highlights, videos, and images in Productboard at this time but will provide a link back to Dovetail to view the complete highlight there.

To disconnect Dovetail and Productboard:

1. Click your profile photo in the top right of the screen.

2. Click Account.

3. Click Integrations.

4. Click Disconnect.

You'll no longer be able to send new highlights and insights using your account, however anything you've already sent will remain.
