Link embeds

To embed a link:

1. Make sure your link is public (i.e. not paywalled or requiring user permissions).

2. Copy the URL and paste it into an insight, note, home, or readme.

3. In the menu, choose to display your link as Text, Card, or Preview.

To change the styling of an existing link, clicking the link while the page is editable will reopen the menu to let you choose how it's displayed.

Dovetail currently supports previews for public links from Figma, Google Docs, Google Drive, Loom, Maze, Miro, Mural, Notion, Office Forms, Vimeo and YouTube.

Embedding a link as a preview or card currently only works on links that don't require authentication.
