Centralize your project data

Notes are the basic unit of information in Dovetail. They are a blank canvas that can contain video, audio, text, or files and are organized inside projects.

Typically, one note will contain a single piece of raw data that will be automatically summarized inside your project. For example, a note might represent a customer interview, an existing research slide deck, or a support ticket from a customer.

Managers and contributors can import data into a project using the file picker, or using one of our integrations including Google Drive, Zoom, or OneDrive.

If working with Zoom cloud recordings, we recommend enabling our Google integration to automatically import recordings into your project. Once imported, your meetings will be automatically transcribed and summarized for you, so you don’t have to do a thing.

• To get started, navigate to Settings → Integrations and select Google Calendar.

• From there, set up this integration to select calendar events to import recordings from alongside our Zoom integration. Both integrations need to be set up to successfully automate import.
