A new release of the Co:Z Toolkit (1.2.0) is available.

Dovetailed Technologies, LLC is pleased to announce the beta release of Co:Z FTP-SSH Proxy.

This release also fixes a problem affecting the Co:Z SFTP processing of SYSOUT keywords.

The Co:Z toolkit for z/OS is a free product. Commercial support agreements are available.

A new release of the Co:Z Toolkit (1.1.1) is available.

This release fixes a problem affecting either the client or the server where a fixed-length z/OS dataset is read in binary mode. The previous releases were incorrectly setting an internal option to trim trailing spaces from records, which is not the desired behavior of "mode=binary".

The problem has been fixed in release 1.1.1 (both client and server modes).

The Co:Z toolkit for z/OS is a free product. Commercial support agreements are available.

Co:Z Toolkit now includes SFTP with Dataset support

Dovetailed Technologies, LLC is pleased to announce today that we are releasing version 1.1.0 of the Co:Z Co-processing Toolkit for z/OS.

Major additions to this release include:

  1. A new port of OpenSSH sftp for z/OS which adds support for MVS datasets, catalogs, partitioned datasets, etc. The sftp-server is designed to work with an existing sshd service, such as IBM's Ported Tools for z/OS - OpenSSH. Installations may configure sshd so that the new Co:Z sftp-server is only used for selected users.

Using Co:Z sftp-server, systems with OpenSSH or another sftp compatible package may transfer files directly to MVS datasets and control all aspects of dataset formats, codepage conversion, and allocation. This release only includes the sftp-server, a future release will also include a new port of the z/OS sftp client.

The Co:Z sftp client for z/OS also provides dataset support and can be used interactively from a z/OS Unix shell or in a batch job.

  2. Several new z/OS Unix shell commands:
    catsearch
invokes z/OS catalog search to produce a listing similar to ISPF 3.4
    pdsdir
displays a PDS directory similar to ISPF
    zsym
expands z/OS system symbols for use in shell scripts.

The Co:Z toolkit for z/OS is a free product. Commercial support agreements are available.

Co:Z Co-Processing Toolkit for z/OS now available free

Dovetailed Technologies, LLC announces the availability of the Co:Z Co-Processing Toolkit for z/OS as a free product distributed under the Apache 2 license.

For license information, see Co:Z Toolkit - Licenses.

Free and commercial support contracts are available.

Co:Z Co-Processing Toolkit for z/OS and zLinux available

Dovetailed Technologies, LLC announces the availability of the Co:Z Co-Processing Toolkit for z/OS and zLinux.  The Co:Z Toolkit allows any z/OS batch job to remotely launch a process on a distributed Linux, Windows, or other Unix/Posix system, redirecting input and output from the remote process to traditional z/OS datasets or spool files.

The remote/target process can use Dataset Pipes commands or APIs to "reach back" into the launching jobstep and access MVS datasets.  Existing z/OS scheduling and automation facilities can be used to manage and control Co:Z distributed jobs.
